		<description>[...] I&#8217;ve been referred to as a &#8220;troll&#8221;, or otherwise ripped into, by Ed and his follow....  I wonder if anyone without a chip on his/her shoulder, or a hidden agenda, can read the comment thread above and find anything (before my valedictory remark; yes, I was irritated) that would qualify as &#8220;trolling&#8221;? Is any form of contentious response, or dissent, to be labeled &#8220;trolling&#8221;, now?I take the time to leave intelligent, carefully-considered comments; I only comment on issues I  A) feel strongly about and B) know enough about, in the first place, to comment usefully. I was under the impression that the definition of a &#8220;troll&#8221; is a commenter who attacks/disrupts/slanders for disruption&#8217;s own sake. Well, it&#8217;s a protean word. Ed Champion isn&#8217;t a &#8220;troll&#8221; for calling dozens of people &#8220;douchebag/retard/dipshit&#8221;&#8230; but I&#8217;m a &#8220;troll&#8221; for sticking up for the notion of Civil Rights in a comment thread appended to Ed Champion&#8217;s posting on&#8230; Civil Rights.
